murchison fallsDAY 1: MURCHISON FALLS AND ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY
Your driver-guide will meet you at Entebbe International Airport or your Entebbe/Kampala accommodation and transport you to Murchison Falls National Park. There may be sightings of lions, giraffes, hartebeests, buffalo, and elephants. The world's most powerful waterfall, Murchison Falls, will be seen. Murchison Falls has 450 bird species, including the unusual shoebill stork, dwarf kingfisher, white-thighed hornbill, and goliath heron.

Along the way, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for your first Big Five encounter, which includes an hour of rhino tracking. Following that, you will have lunch at Kabalega Dinner. Continue to the park and check into your lodging for the evening as you prepare for the big adventures of the next day.

DAY 2: MURCHISON FALLS CRUISE
Explore the northern area of Murchison, which is densely populated with animals, after an early breakfast. Elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, Uganda kobs, lions, leopards, and a variety of bird species may all be viewed and photographed. After lunch, return to your hotel before embarking on a 3-hour boat excursion to the base of the falls. This excursion is said to be the highlight of the Murchison Falls safari since it allows you to get up close and personal with the aquatic animal species. Cruise by large hippo pods, crocodiles, and other aquatic birds dotting the north bank on your way to the magnificent waterfalls.
Optionally, proceed for a hike to the top of the falls. The hike is a strenuous one but the thrill of reaching the top is unforgettable. Return to your accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay.

DAY 3: KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Drive to the top of the falls (if you did not walk) after breakfast for a breathtaking view of the falls. Otherwise, leave immediately after breakfast for Kibale Forest National Park.

Kibale is well-known for its primates, including chimpanzees, Colobus monkeys, mangabeys, and red-tailed monkeys. You'll witness chimps hanging in the trees and enjoying wild fruits on your chimp treks. You will do nothing but check in when you get at your hotel. Have a delicious meal and a good night's sleep.

DAY 4: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
You will be required to report to the forest headquarters for a briefing. Following that, you can start your hike with a ranger as early as 8:00 a.m. Kibale Forest National Park is home to the greatest number of primate species on the planet, including chimps. Over 5,000 wild chimps live in Uganda, making it an ideal location for sightings!

Once you find the chimps, you will have an hour with them. Before heading for Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will return to the lodge for lunch. You will arrive late at night and spend the night at your pre-arranged accommodation.

DAY 5: KAZINGA CHANNEL BOAT CRUISE
Today you will embark on a game drive as well as a boat ride in the Kazinga Channel. Early in the morning, you will begin on a game drive around the park, with spectacular views of the plains, valleys, terraced hills, and a variety of animals. There are reedbuck, bushbuck, kob, warthog, elephant, lion, buffalo, and several more animals. Take a break and relax at the resort while lunch is served.
The afternoon excursion includes a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel, a natural water stream that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. A huge school of hippos and Nile crocodiles use the canal, as do a variety of birds such as pelicans, kingfishers, saddle-billed storks, and crowned cranes on occasion. Return to your lodgings in time for dinner.

DAY 6: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is noted for its resident tree-climbing lions. The chances of seeing these lions are roughly 70%, however they might be difficult to identify at times.
Proceed to Bwindi National Park. Bwindi is a significant mountain gorilla habitat in Uganda, home to an estimated 1,000 mountain gorillas, or about half of the world's population. It has various habitual groupings that may be tracked. Its mist-covered mountains are engulfed by one of Uganda's oldest and most ecologically varied rainforests, dating back over 25,000 years and containing around 400 plant species. With a long day ahead of you, you will do nothing on arrival but check into your accommodation and relax before your Bwindi gorilla trekking adventure the next day.

DAY 7: GORILLA TREKKING
You will enter the impenetrable Bwindi Forest after an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide. This jungle is really beautiful! The region has a spectacular steeply wooded environment and is quite thick, however it is crisscrossed by numerous animal pathways that enable people access. The time and terrain vary according to the movements of these huge primates. When you find a gorilla group, you will be allowed to spend an hour with them. The joy of spending time observing these gentle and endangered creatures is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
After that, return to your lodging. Check out after noon in order to catch the shuttle to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is bordered by magnificent, green-terraced hills that rise to 2,200 - 2,478m, but it's the 29 islands scattered across the water that make it most magical—you could spend an entire day admiring them. It is also Africa's third deepest lake, at a depth of 900 meters.

DAY 8: DEPARTURE FROM ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the accommodation while admiring the spectacular view of the Bunyonyi islands in front of you. You'll then be on your way back to Entebbe Airport. Expect lunch stops as well as visits to the Uganda equator line. Continue your journey, arriving late afternoon/evening for airport pickup. This will be the end of your wonderful Uganda adventure.
